Did you try all threads? Iirc command has to be issued in Thread 0.
The loop that you are seing isn't in getIntelRegistersPointer, it is in a funtion that is 0x2aa bytes away from this function. You are seeing this, because the debugger can only rely on the publically visible function names/exports.
You are most likely in the processing loop of cpu_simulate which is perfectly fine.
I attached 32bit IOfix to try.
I guess it's not so easy to coordinate Teamviewer access via board, but as said, I can have a look at it for free and will warn you when I find out that it is a lot of work and I therefore cannot do it for free
